Tiffaney-Anne Calabro
Tiffaney-Anne Calabro is a classically trained, Filipino-American soprano native to Las Vegas. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at UNLV. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Dr. Kimberly James and is expected to receive her degree by the end of Spring 2023. In her academic career, Tiffaney performed with the UNLV Opera and UNLV Opera Workshop in various roles, including the role of Cece in the collegiate premiere of Frank Pesci’s Royal Flush, along with the occasional musical theater excerpt. She also performed in the chorus for Opera Las Vegas. As a previous member of the UNLV Choirs, she had the opportunity to perform various choral masterworks alongside the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Smith Center. With many of her choir colleagues, she was also able to partake on a choir tour in Spain and Portugal to share the joy of collaborative music.
Tiffaney has experience in teaching both children and at the collegiate level. Her early experiences in music began with her local children’s choir at the young age of six, and she was later inspired to take piano lessons with the conductor. As Tiffaney became older in the children’s choir, she transitioned into an assistant conductor role. Before coming to Nevada Music Academy, she was a part-time graduate instructor who taught voice lessons to UNLV undergraduates for two years.
It is Tiffaney’s goal to be able to provide a welcoming and enriching environment that will foster traits like healthy technique and habit building while still having fun! She believes that anyone can create music, regardless of genre preferences or previous experience. As such, she hopes to be able to share the knowledge that will allow others to express their own musical joy.
