Tiana Thomas has 13 years of playing experience on viola, 10 years of experience on violin, and 5 years of experience on piano. She has gained valuable insights from her 2 years of experience working with individuals with special needs, particularly those with autism and dyslexia, adapting her teaching methods to suit their unique requirements.
In her musical journey, Tiana’s dedication has earned her recognition as Viola student of the year, and she has also participated in and won a concerto and aria competition. Additionally, she was named Orchestra student of the year, reflecting her commitment to music education. She had the opportunity to be the first chair violinist in Del Sol Acadmey’s production of the Addams family musical and their production of Disney’s Newsies. Tiana has the most experience playing classical music, but she also has experience with musical theatre. She has had the privilege of studying piano under the tutelage of Leah Thomas and Valerie Ore. She enjoys composing music on the piano.
Tiana is pursuing a Music Education degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, aiming to enhance her teaching skills further. Her friendly and cheerful personality creates a positive learning environment, making lessons enjoyable for her students. Tiana believes learning should be fluid and fun, which shows in her teaching style. In her free time, Tiana enjoys arts and crafts, painting, and reading.
