Pat Caruso

Pat Caruso has been an active performer and drum instructor for over 30 years. He grew up in New Jersey where he played with mostly older musicians in original and cover bands from the age of 15 throughout the tri-state area. Pat originally studied drums at a young age from his Uncle, a prominent drummer in the New Jersey scene, and later at the Drummer’s Collective in New York City.
After years of playing in New Jersey, Pat moved to Los Angeles where he studied music education and performance at the Musician’s Institute. From there, he taught drums in Los Angeles. He was also a member of the musician’s union and performed with The Vagabonds which included, members of Motley Crue, KIX, & Bang Tango. This band played original and cover music in many venues on the Sunset Strip and concert venues throughout Southern, California. Pat has received rave reviews from Modern Drummer, DRUM and, Metal Edge Magazines. 
Pat became a Las Vegas resident in 2001 and has furthered his passion for teaching in various private music schools. Pat’s main music background is live performance, playing in cover bands, tribute bands and other shows and variety acts and shows including Tony & Tina’s Wedding. Pat is a very versatile drummer as he has is versed in Blues, R & B,  Country, Christian Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, Smooth Jazz and Swing. Pat has also performed and recorded with click tracks and has played over 1,000 songs with these bands throughout the U.S. Pat currently is performing with The Saints of Las Vegas throughout Las Vegas, California, and Arizona.  Pat has a versatile teaching and playing style that has come from hard work, experience and music education. Pat can teach all levels and his students will receive a solid foundation through learning reading skills, ruduments, drum set exercises, grooves, fills and various other pedagogical concepts. Pat is a patient and encouring teacher that makes learning the drums fun and rewarding. He believes that his students can accomplish anything as long as they don’t give up!
