Michaelangelo Henegan is a composer, pianist, percussionist and educator of music in Las Vegas, Nevada. His education includes The Las Vegas Academy, Sierra Vista High School, and Oklahoma City University. While attending Sierra Vista High School as a junior Michaelangelo recieved the honor or placing 2nd place in the Nevada Allstate Command Performance competition as a pianist. Michaelangelo participated as a finalist in this competition for 2 years in a row as a junior and a senior pianist.
After finishing high school, Michaelangelo immediately began teaching piano and percussion to students of all ages, and he continues to teach these instruments currently. He also began doing accompaniment work for elementary, junior, high school and collegiate level students at this time. Michaelangelo’s performance experiences include performing as a pianist and Music Director with The Streetmosphere Show at the Venetian Hotel and Casino as well as “Marinelli’s” Italian Restaurant inside of the M Casino. He as also performed with the “Drumbots” marching percussion ensemble, The Vegas Vanguard Entertainment Drumline and The Las Vegas Golden Knights Entertainment Drumline.
Michaelangelo currently accompanies students at UNLV as well as the beginning choir at the Grace Presbyterian church directed by Lisa Elliott. He also currently performs as a pianist with a local jazz quartet called Lofee and Friends as well as various shows at the Village Theater Company including Bleach Improv, Mom’s Basement and Cluelesque.
