Marcellé Boyd
Marcellé Boyd brings real-world stage experience to music education. As a graduate of Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, she draws on her classical foundation in both piano and voice to provide students with a solid reference point for modern performance. She earned her B.S. in Popular and Commercial Music from Loyola University New Orleans. Her expertise is recognized at the collegiate level, having served as a guest voice clinician at her alma mater. As a lead and background singer who can support bands on the keys, Marcellé has graced stages across the country, including the House of Blues. She has refined her craft under the mentorship of the industry elite, including celebrity vocal coach Jazmin Crumley. She was born into a musical legacy as the daughter of a professional pianist for legends like Natalie Cole and Chaka Khan. When not songwriting or producing music she enjoys performing and teaching others how to do the same.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Marcellé specializes in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM), including Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, Country, Folk, Jazz, Gospel, and Musical Theatre. Drawing from her background as a professional pianist and singer, she guides her students beyond music theory and composition into the art of stage presence and song delivery. By integrating her Vocal Educator certification and up to date pedagogical practices, she ensures her students develop the precision and sustainability required for modern performance. Whether working with enthusiastic beginners or seasoned professionals, she teaches piano and voice as tools for expression helping students master their favorite hits while building the self-esteem, knowledge, and technical skills required to perform for a live audience.
Marcellé is dedicated to creating a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming environment for every learner. As an Autistic musician with ADHD and a background in graduate music therapy studies, she brings both lived experience and a specialized approach to the classroom. She helps adults feel safe to start learning music or dive deeper into it. She excels at connecting with teens and children, especially the little ones. By incorporating alternative ways to learn, including the use of visual and tactile tools, she ensures that music remains a source of fun and passion for all ages. She also ensures that it is not overwhelming, breaking big dreams down into manageable goals and objectives. At Nevada Music Academy, Marcellé’s goal is to help students bridge the gap between the practice room and the stage, striving for them to have the confidence, muscle memory, and creative power to truly shine. Her students have gone on to tour internationally, gig locally, star in musicals, and win talent competitions.
