Leanna Oliver

Leanna Oliver was born in the Philippines and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She began studying both piano and violin at the age of seven. As a pianist, Leanna studied under Michelle Lee, competing in numerous piano competitions and festivals throughout Las Vegas. As a violinist, she studied under Yunior Lopez and was a dedicated member of the Young Artists Orchestra, where she served as a section leader, concertmaster, and later as a mentor for the Academy group.

Leanna recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance for Violin at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in May 2025, studying under Dr. Ambroise Aubrun. During her time at UNLV, she also took viola lessons, expanding her versatility as a string player. Her musical journey includes notable achievements such as performing in Milan, Italy in 2023 with the UNLV Virtuosi Strings. She also regularly performs with the Jeekl Quartet, sharing her love for chamber music. Beyond music, Leanna served as a Supplemental Instruction leader for General Chemistry I and II at UNLV.

Leanna enjoys helping students grow both technically and musically, always aiming to create a positive and supportive learning environment. While her formal training is in classical music, she is flexible in playing different genres including jazz, mariachi, pop, and contemporary styles. Above all, she finds joy in seeing her students connect with music and truly enjoy the music they create.
