Joshua Greenberg

Joshua Greenberg is from Las Vegas, Nevada, and has been playing the guitar since he was 11 years old. He is a teacher, composer, session musician, and performer. Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. There, he studied guitar under Jake Langley and vocals under Jo Belle Yonely. Josh has played in many groups including classical and jazz guitar ensembles, big bands, combos, and rock bands. He is a guitar player for the show Zombie Burlesque at Planet Hollywood Casino and has performed at events such as First Friday and in musical productions such as Carrie and American Idiot.

Josh also attended Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, where he studied guitar under the direction of Bill Swick. There, he has had the honor of being distinguished as one of the best guitarists in Southern Nevada in multiple Solo and Ensemble tournaments and was able to record his pieces onto CD as well as play them in many command performance showcases with duo groups and as a soloist.

Josh started out learning the blues, got classically trained, and then pursued jazz. He has had many amazing mentors and is grateful for their instruction and how they shaped him as a musician. It is with their great leadership and friendship, he found love for the art. Without their inspiration, he would not be where he is today. He takes great pride in following in their footsteps with the students that he teaches.
