Danielle Aguon
Danielle Aguon is an undergraduate pianist, composer, and vocalist studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition with a concentration on piano and a minor in Music Technology. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has studied the piano since she was 6 years old under the teaching of Elissa Stutz Lechnir and is currently studying under Dr. Timothy Hoft. She is also currently studying vocals under the teaching of Dasia Intil at UNLV.
Danielle has participated in numerous piano competitions and festivals throughout Las Vegas and has received first place in almost all of them, such as the Legacy Piano Competition, several Silver State Competitions, and the Jazz Festival, and has also participated in choir throughout grade school. She is currently a piano accompanist at UNLV for vocalists and other instruments, and she composes pieces of music for large ensembles, small ensembles, and solo instruments.Â
As a classically trained pianist and a vocalist, Danielle studies and performs classical music and explores other music genres, such as jazz, ragtime, pop, and even styles from musical theater. Her time at UNLV has broadened her abilities and has exposed her to all different kinds of music. Her love of music continues to blossom and she hopes to share that with other young artists, as well as to inspire them the way her teachers have inspired her.Â
